Maung Aye, senior corporate associate from London and Surrey solicitors Mackrell Turner Garrett, has presented a specialist seminar for business owners.
Maung spoke at the Businesses For Sale Live show on May 15 and 16, which formed part of The Business Show at the Excel Centre in London.
Businesses For Sale Live brought together a number of industry experts who gave advice to business owners on all aspects of the business sale process from how to create the perfect investment pitch to unusual ways to raise finance.
Maung’s seminar was entitled “Business buying nightmares – How to avoid your deal falling apart”. In it he discussed the importance of the due diligence process when buying a company or business, gave tips for both buyers and sellers on how to navigate the due diligence process and highlighted examples of deals that had fallen apart due to inadequate due diligence.
As a senior associate in Mackrell Turner Garrett’s Corporate and Commercial Team, Maung deals with all aspects of corporate and commercial law, in particular specialising in company and business acquisitions and disposals. He has advised a range of clients on numerous acquisitions from small owner managed businesses through to multinational corporations.
He said “The Business Show was a great opportunity to meet business owners who are in the process of buying or selling their business and to give them practical tips on how to manage the due diligence process.”
