A team of solicitors from London full service law firm Mackrell Turner Garrett have helped strengthen an important relationship with Morrison Cohen, a leading New York practice.
Keith Provins and Maung Aye, partners at Mackrell Turner Garrett’s Corporate and Commercial department, recently returned to the UK having spent three days in the US where they visited Morrison Cohen and met with existing clients and new contacts.
Mackrell Turner Garrett has a strong relationship with the New York firm through its membership with Mackrell International (MI) – 4,500 solicitors in 170 offices, across 90 firms in 60 countries.
Speaking upon his return, Keith Provins said: “Meeting with our counterparts at MI member firm Morrison Cohen was extremely useful and has helped provide us with greater insight into trends on the other side of the Atlantic.
“During the trip we were also able to meet with a number of new contacts and prospective clients and talk to them about the value our services could add to their business.”
While in the US the pair also met with international members of MGI, a global association of independent audit, tax and accounting firms, to discuss global issues affecting the industry.
Maung Aye added: “At Mackrell Turner Garrett we believe it is vitally important to understand what is happening in a number of worldwide jurisdictions, which is why our team regularly travels overseas.”
“The insights gained from these trips and the contacts made by our solicitors ensure that we continue to offer a first-class global service to our clients.”
