Nigel Rowley, Managing Partner at Mackrell Turner Garrett, has led a successful business delegation to China to discuss with major Chinese trade and business associations the opportunities for doing business in the UK.
The weeklong trip to China saw Nigel and the other delegates, which included a number of legal and accountancy firms from the UK, USA and Europe, visit Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong where they met with delegates from some of the country’s leading business organisations, including the CCCME, the CWTO and SHEC.
As President of the London Chapter of the US China Global Investment & Trade Association (USCGITA), Nigel has a lot of experience in China and this latest trip provided him a chance to discuss the needs of China’s business community in relation to potential inward investment into the UK.
Speaking after returning from China, Nigel said: “My recent trip to China was very enlightening and it is fascinating to see the level of interest in doing business in the UK.
“Meeting with the Chinese business delegates it was clear to see that the country remains a powerhouse of industry and I was glad to be able to forge new relations between Mackrell Turner Garrett, Mackrell International, USCGITA and our Chinese hosts.
“China has a desire at the moment to build relationships with global firms such as ourselves and I am sure this trip will lead to a number of opportunities in the near future.”
Nigel also had the chance to promote Mackrell Turner Garrett’s wide-array of international legal services to Chinese businesses and discuss the benefits of working with the firm’s solicitors.
