Mackrell Turner Garrett’s Managing Partner and Head of Litigation, Nigel Rowley, has been named as the next Deputy Chair of Mackrell International – a prestigious organisation of 92 leading law firms from around the world.
Nigel Rowley was elected to the position by members of Mackrell International at the organisation’s latest annual general meeting, which took place in Gothenburg, Sweden in May.
In his new role Nigel will assist Mackrell International’s current Chair, Michael Connelly from Morrison Cohen in New York, guide the organisation’s international committee, which meets regularly to discuss the management of the network.
In response to being chosen, Nigel Rowley said: “I am absolutely delighted to be chosen as Deputy Chair of Mackrell International and I would like to thank all of the members for voting for me.
Mackrell International is a global network consisting of more than 4,200 lawyers in 92 firms around the world.
Their latest event in Sweden’s second city was a chance for member firms to meet and discuss the issues affecting their profession. A group of nine solicitors from Mackrell Turner Garrett accompanied Nigel to the event.
“The latest AGM was very useful to all of the team who attended. It really helped us to connect with other members from firms around the world,” added Nigel.
