Senior Associate, Woking
Rachael House joins Mackrell Turner Garrett as a Senior Associate in the Family Law Department.
She qualified as a solicitor in 2005 and joined a firm with offices in Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire, before moving to head up the family department of a firm in Farnham.
Rachael is an active member of the Association of Women Solicitors and is a Resolution Accredited Specialist Collaborative Lawyer. She has conducted a number of collaborative cases since completing her training in 2008, but is also adept at taking proceedings through the courts where necessary.
Cases of interest in which she has acted include an oral permission to appeal hearing in private children law, negotiating a favourable settlement where the only asset was personal injury compensation money and representation of a number of clients with public sector pensions, particularly Armed Forces pensions.
Rachael has expertise in divorce and related financial matters, children issues, pre and post nuptial agreements, separation agreements, co-habitation agreements and issues arising from separation of unmarried couples, dissolution of civil partnerships and domestic abuse.
In her spare time Rachael is an active volunteer with Girlguiding UK.
