Thomas Hulme

Mackrell.Solicitors, a London and Birmingham-based International law firm, has welcomed back one of its former trainees as a Senior Associate.

Thomas Hulme left the award-winning practice in 2021 to pursue experience at another law firm. However, he has now returned to his original practice to take up a senior position within the firm’s Civil Litigation and Disputes team.

With considerable experience acting for individuals and businesses on a broad range of commercial disputes, Thomas has a tenacious approach backed up by considerable knowledge.

Most notably he has advised his clients on high-value contract disputes, claims for breaches of duty, disputes between shareholders and fraud investigations.

Thomas has also acted on many cross-border matters, ground-breaking digital asset disputes in the High Court and committal proceedings.

Speaking about his return to the firm, Thomas said: “I am really pleased to be a part of the Mackrell.Solicitors team once again and I am looking forward to delivering effective advice to our clients, particularly in my specialist areas.”

Thomas originally joined Mackrell.Solicitors in 2017 having previously run his own security business, specialising in protecting the IT infrastructures of SMEs and large enterprises.

This commercial background gives him a unique insight into the commercial issues affecting companies. After training with the practice, Thomas went on to become a well-known cryptoasset specialist, founding Mackrell.Solicitors’ Cryptoasset and Blockchain department. However, he now focuses on commercial disputes and litigation.

Joint Managing Partners, Maung Aye & James Atton at Mackrell.Solicitors, said: “It is great to be welcoming Thomas back to the firm. He has a great understanding of our values and ethos and brings some excellent expertise to the practice.”
