The Mackrell team has embraced the season of giving with additional support for a Birmingham-based charity for its much-loved Christmas campaign, back for 2023.
LoveBrum, a charity run “by Birmingham, for Birmingham” to engage local people on social enterprise and development projects, has launched its annual ‘Bags for Brummies’ campaign – bringing essential items to Birmingham’s most vulnerable people.
Spotlighting the work of local charities supporting homeless families and individuals, LoveBrum has partnered with SIFA Fireside, Reconnected and Helping Hands to develop a ‘wish list’ of essential items that their service users need the most.
The charity has created unique bundles providing toiletries, feminine care, support for a first home, winter supplies or general living and hygiene supplies to be distributed to those in need across the city – presenting the perfect opportunity for businesses and individuals to get involved and show their support.
On 5 December Mackrell.Solicitor’s staff plan to join the Bags for Brummies networking and bag packing event to help pack bundles for those in need, as well as hearing from scheme partner, Reconnected, and getting to know fellow changemakers at The Good Intent – one of the UK’s first not-for-profit bars.
Across the city and beyond, anyone can get involved in LoveBrum’s goal to reach as many people in need as possible with everything they need to weather the winter months.
James Atton & Maung Aye, Joint Managing Partners at Mackrell, said: “As winter approaches, we’re acutely aware of our responsibilities towards not only our staff and clients, but to the local community.
“Sponsoring LoveBrum has given us the opportunity to do this on a wider scale since they regularly partner with other charities that work with the city’s most vulnerable people and communities.
“As in previous years, we’ll be donating to Bags for Brummies to get winter supplies where they’re most needed – and we would urge other businesses in Birmingham to do the same.
“At the core of LoveBrum’s mission is a sense of community that encompasses businesses as well as individuals, families and groups. We all share that vision and it’s great to be able to give some extra support at this time of year towards the place that our firm calls home.”
