Sports Business Awards - Best Professional Services in Sport - Legal - Finalist

The sports team at Mackrell.Solicitors are delighted to be named as a finalist for their work this year at the 2022 Sports Business Awards.

This is the second year in a row that the firm has been shortlisted for the Best Professional Services in Sport – Legal category.

In the past year, the team have acted for some of the very best men’s and women’s athletes, agencies, sports businesses and brands and has seen its client base increase 65 per cent in the last year alone.

The team are particularly proud of its pro bono work over the past year, which includes successfully acting for a young footballer at FIFA after his former club refused to pay him the wages he was entitled to.

Additionally, the team have been able to secure a 100 per cent success rate for their clients in its sport disputes work before The FA’s Rule K arbitration and FIFA. The team has also helped their clients settle disputes on very favourable terms prior to arbitration commencing.
