Five members of staff from London and Birmingham-based law firm, Mackrell.Solicitors, will be jumping on their bikes to raise money for charity in June.

The team of legal experts will be pedalling from London to Brighton to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Research UK.

This is a charity very close to the firm’s hearts as its CEO, Julie Pryor, has a close family member currently diagnosed with this disease.

Beginning at Clapham Common and finishing on Brighton Beach, the team will complete the 54-mile course with an aim to raise a total of £2,100 for the two charities.

Riders Julie, Steph Winter, Harshita Samani, Sam Aldridge, Nancy Riley and Tom Spencer will be getting in plenty of practice, whilst trying to reach their fundraising goal.

Julie said: “We all enjoy cycling, although a few of us are a little rustier than others. We wanted to do something incredible for this amazing cause, which has affected me personally.

“It’s important to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s as watching a loved one fade away & not being able to do anything apart from support & care for them is the hardest thing imaginable.”

The London to Brighton Bike Ride, which is the oldest of its kind in Europe, takes place on Sunday 18 June 2023.
