Leading M&A advisors BCMS have worked in partnership with London lawyers Mackrell Turner Garrett on a deal between Canadian investors Harris Computer Corporation and independent UK-based supplier of IT systems integration and messaging services, Quicksilva.
The sale, directed by BCMS, sees the Wiltshire-based firm Quicksilva acquired by the Ottawa tech investor, which is currently focused on acquiring businesses with growth potential, before managing them well and scaling them up.
Harris Computer Corporation was impressed with Quicksilva’s work on prestigious projects in the public and private sectors in the UK, where it has primarily developed solutions in health and social care, thanks to its long association with the NHS.
Chief among these projects has been the firms work on the NHS Spine initiated Spine-in-a-Box. This is a test harness designed to mimic the functionality of the NHS Spine to help the procurement and compliance process for suppliers.
Mackrell Turner Garrett’s experienced corporate team were able to solve a number of legal challenges whilst keeping the commercial drivers in focus.
