As part of its ongoing expansion, full-service international London law firm, Mackrell Turner Garrett, has appointed two new solicitors from different legal backgrounds.
Rozia Ali and Jim Richards come with specialist expertise in the areas of property litigation and family law respectively, as the firm grows its existing teams in these fields.
Rozia joins the firm from another London practice where she has developed substantial knowledge in a wide range of property matters, including service charge disputes, adverse possession claims, co-ownership disputes and boundary issues.
Having worked within both the residential and commercial sectors, Rozia is an important addition to the firms existing department, which has developed a strong reputation for resolving property litigation disputes efficiently and effectively.
Meanwhile, Jim joins the practice as a Senior Associate with an extensive background in family law, including work on financial disputes within a divorce that involve significant business assets.
Prior to training as a solicitor, Jim spent 15 years working at the Central Family Court. Thanks to this experience he is also well acquainted with complex children cases, including disputes between parents and children and he has a particular interest in cohabitation cases relating to financial provision for unmarried couples and their children.
Welcoming them to the firm, Nigel Rowley, Managing Partner at Mackrell Turner Garrett said: “We are delighted that Jim and Rozia are joining us at this exciting time in our history as a practice.
“Their differing backgrounds highlight the unique variety of services on offer to clients from our team and I can’t wait to see what they can add to our existing knowledge and background in these areas.”
