About

Alexandra is a senior associate with a broad range of experience across a number of different sectors. This includes over a decade of advising employers and employees in relation to a wide range of both contentious and non-contentious issues.

Alexandra also works with employer clients in relation to complex HR issues, providing corporate support on transactional work as well as supporting with the drafting of HR policies and documentation. She has worked with many third, public and charity sector clients in respect of employment tribunal litigation, and has developed and run training for clients on a range of subjects including how to handle disciplinary and grievance processes, conducting a fair recruitment process, rights around pregnancy and maternity and avoiding pitfalls when carrying out a redundancy exercise.

Alexandra has also gained experience working in-house providing advice and support on a range of matters including complex disciplinary and grievance processes, TUPE, the application of IR35, litigation, large scale redundancies and organisational change and policy. Most recently, she worked for a women’s rights charity providing specialist advice across a wide range of employment law issues.

Alexandra also has significant experience acting for individuals and providing advice in relation to any settlement terms, often carrying out negotiations directly with an employer in order to agree the best possible exit package, or supporting her clients by coaching them directly.

  • Delivering advice, support and representation on maternity and parental rights.
  • Acting for an employee facing issues of pregnancy and maternity discrimination at work including pursuing litigation and then the negotiation and conclusion of a settlement agreement.
  • Advising individuals in relation to their employment rights including advice related to contractual documentation.
  • Advising an employer client in relation to complex employee relations issues involving sickness absence, capability, disciplinary and grievance processes.
  • Providing advice in relation to the application of IR35 and its impact on an organisation.
  • Advising on large scale organisational change including changing contractual terms and conditions.
  • Providing corporate support to transactional work.
