A veteran television presenter and well-known figure within the world of sports, Gary has enjoyed a career spanning more than 50 years.

Having held a position at ITV and Sky, including Controller of Sport at Central TV for 22 years, Gary knows the sports industry inside and out.

Gary won three coveted Royal Television Shows and in radio was a bronze winner during his time at TalkSPORT.

He was awarded the MBE in the New Years’ honours list in 2019 for services to sports, media and charity, which included a citation for his development of women in sports television.

He played an influential role in helping many presenters onto the screen, helping to recruit Jimmy Greaves, Andy Gray, Andy Townsend and Gary Neville, as well as giving Barbara Slater the opportunity to be the first female sports TV presenter.

Outside of broadcasting, Gary does media training for several CEOs and writes newspaper columns through his company Prime Ticket Productions, as well as supporting several important charities.

As a consultant at Mackrell.Solicitors, he provides specialist help and guidance to our Sports and Entertainment Team, allowing us to build new relationships with agents, athletes and organisations across the globe.
