International law firm Mackrell LLP is delighted to announce the appointment of Adeeba Naseem as Partner and Head of the Family and Relationship team, marking a significant step in the continued expansion of the firm’s international family law practice.
With over 20 years’ experience in the legal sector, Adeeba is a highly respected family lawyer who advises clients across the full spectrum of family law matters. As an accredited Advanced Family Panel Member, she handles complex domestic and international cases, including proceedings before the High Court and Court of Appeal.
Adeeba brings specialist expertise in child abduction cases, surrogacy and international adoption, alongside advising on divorce, separation, financial arrangements, and pre- and post-nuptial agreements. Known for her strategic approach and compassionate client care, she has a strong track record of managing complex caseloads, leading teams effectively, and driving business growth, while maintaining a strong focus on delivering outstanding outcomes for clients.
Commenting on her appointment, Adeeba said:

Beyond her legal practice, Adeeba is deeply committed to supporting vulnerable individuals. She works closely with charities and non-profit organisations, regularly delivering talks and providing advice through domestic violence organisations.
Her work has helped many victims of abuse secure urgent protection through emergency injunctions, and has also made television and radio appearances, sharing her expert legal insights.
Adeeba’s appointment follows a change in leadership within the Family and Relationship team. After many years with Mackrell LLP, Alison Green will be stepping down as Head of Department and passing the baton to Adeeba.
Throughout her time at the firm, Alison has been leading the growth and direction of the Family and Relationship team, working closely with clients and colleagues and helping shape the department into what it is today. She will continue to support clients and provide guidance to the team.

It feels like the right moment to pass the role on, and I am glad it is going to Adeeba. She brings a lot of specialist experience and an approach to work that I know our clients will appreciate.
