Sanita Kaur is a Paralegal in the Family & Relationship Team at Mackrell LLP, with five years’ experience supporting fee earners and clients in a wide range of family law matters, many of which involve complex international elements.
Sanita graduated with an LLB from BPP University in 2019 and has since developed substantial hands‑on experience assisting with cases issued under the 1980 Hague Convention and the Inherent Jurisdiction of the High Court of England and Wales. Her work regularly involves matters relating to international child abduction and cross‑border family disputes.
In her role, Sanita provides a combination of legal, administrative and client‑facing support, often working closely with clients during emotionally sensitive and high‑pressure situations. She is known for her organised approach, clear communication style and calm, professional manner when dealing with urgent and complex cases.
Sanita’s experience also includes work alongside a criminal defence lawyer, where she gained valuable insight into criminal procedure and court processes, as well as voluntary work supporting vulnerable clients with young children facing issues, such as eviction and homelessness.
This work involved taking detailed consultation notes, liaising with legal advisers and following up with clients to ensure appropriate steps were taken.
Sanita is committed to continuing her professional development and is keen to expand her experience in financial remedy proceedings and divorce cases, particularly those with international dimensions. She plans to undertake the Solicitor Qualifying Examination (SQE) as part of her long‑term career progression in family law.
