
Carmen is a corporate and commercial solicitor who trained at a leading City law firm, including a secondment in-house.
She acts for a broad range of clients, from founders and owner-managed businesses to investors and international corporates, advising on corporate transactions and commercial matters that often with cross-border elements.
She advises on mergers and acquisitions, fundraising, venture capital and private equity investments, as well as corporate restructurings, demergers and capital reductions. She also has experience advising on employee share option (EMI) schemes, and on corporate governance and company secretarial matters. Her commercial practice includes advising on terms and conditions, supply agreements, franchise and master services agreements. Carmen also supports in-house legal teams on a range of commercial, regulatory, intellectual property and governance matters.
She combines technically strong advice with a practical, commercial approach, and is known for taking the time to understand a client’s objectives, identifying the issues that matter and keeping transactions moving through clear, proactive communication.
Carmen’s sector experience includes technology, consumer and retail, and she enjoys working with ambitious clients at every stage of growth. She is also broadening her international experience, working with clients and professionals across the Mackrell International Network.
Outside work, Carmen enjoys Formula 1 race days, badminton and punch needling.
