About

Sarah is Head of People and Performance at Mackrell and leads the firm’s HR Consultancy Services.

Working alongside the Employment & HR Team, she gives organisations practical, commercially minded support with complex people challenges.

Sarah has more than 15 years’ experience in HR consultancy. Before joining Mackrell, she held senior people and talent roles at leading international law firms including Clyde & Co, LALIVE, Taylor Wessing and Linklaters.

She has worked with offices across the UK, Switzerland, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the US and brings that international perspective to her advice on organisational change and talent management.

Sarah advises clients on a wide range of matters, including:

  • Restructures and redundancies
  • Employee relations matters
  • Workplace conflict and mediation
  • Organisational change
  • Leadership development
  • Executive coaching and career coaching
  • Maternity and paternity coaching

Her experience in senior people leadership means she understands both the employment law risks and the day-to-day realities of managing people. Clients receive advice that works on the ground as well as on paper, helping them manage risk and make confident decisions.

Sarah is a qualified executive coach and works with leaders and professionals to develop their careers and strengthen their impact.

Her coaching background shapes how she works with clients. She takes time to listen and understand different perspectives and asks the questions that help people find effective solutions for themselves.

Her approach is pragmatic and forward-looking, grounded in both commercial reality and human insight.

She is focused on growing HR Consultancy Services into a go-to resource for organisations facing complex workforce challenges, offering a joined-up service that brings HR expertise and legal insight together.

Internally, Sarah works with the firm’s partners and leadership team on talent, culture, performance and professional development, aligning Mackrell’s people practices with its strategic objectives.

Sarah is passionate about giving back. She has provided pro bono HR support to charitable organisations and coaches individuals looking to build confidence and progress their careers.
