Geeta is a fellow of the Chartered Institution of Legal Executives. She advises on a wide range of family and matrimonial matters, including pre & post nuptial agreements, separation, co-habitation agreements and divorce, as well as matters arising including financial settlements and child arrangements.
She has extensive experience in complex multi - jurisdictional high net worth divorces and financial relief proceedings acting on behalf of both Husband and Wife, applicant and respondent.
She also has substantial experience in disputes relating to children matters, including contact arrangements, national and international relocation applications, and applications relating to unlawful removal and retention of children from the jurisdiction.
She has been praised for her considered and personal approach to cases and clients, adopting an sympathetic and pragmatic view to working as constructively and amicably as possible.
However, where circumstances require, she will take a robust approach to achieve a positive outcome for her clients through litigation.
Prior to joining Mackrell.Solicitors, Geeta worked for a family law practice based in Mayfair for 7 years. Prior to working in family law, Geeta worked for the Serious Fraud Office and the Proceeds of Crime Unit at the Crown Prosecution Service, assisting in the successful prosecution of the high profile, multi-million pound complex fraud cases including the successful prosecution of Asil Nadir in 2010, as well as dealing with complex, national and international restraint proceedings.
