Leading London law firm Mackrell LLP has advised Swedish-based Axvik Group in connection with its acquisition of Pentaxia Ltd.
The acquisition sees Pentaxia join Axvik, a group of specialised companies developing critical components and systems for the aerospace and defence industry.
Founded in 2008, Pentaxia is an advanced composites manufacturer based in Derby, working in the defence, aerospace, automotive, and motorsport industries from a purpose-built 70,000 sq ft facility.
The acquisition strengthens Axvik’s UK composites capability alongside its existing business, Slingsby Advanced Composites, with the two companies bringing complementary expertise across composite materials and manufacturing techniques. Both companies will continue to operate under their own brands.
Mackrell LLP’s team was led by partner and Head of Corporate Maung Aye, alongside corporate partner Harriet Jones with specialist support from colleagues across the firm including employment and real estate.
Maung commented: “We are delighted to support the Axvik Group in its second strategic acquisition in the UK.
“The transaction is an excellent strategic fit for all parties. Pentaxia complements Slingsby Advanced Composites exceptionally well and it is an excellent addition to Axvik’s group of specialised aerospace and defence companies”.
